Duluth, MN (KDAL) - It's been a good summer for boat watchers here in Duluth and Superior. The Seaway Port Authority says that by the end of the shipping season thirty-eight long tons of cargo will have moved through the Port. That's eighty-seven billion tons of cargo. The large numbers were in iron ore, limestone and coal. Grain shipments remain down.
Wind generator parts continued to move, but those shipments may be over at the end of the year as a major tax credit on wind energy is over.
