DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth Airport Authority has announced a 13 percent increase in passenger traffic in the 3rd quarter of 2012 compared to the same period last year. Airport Executive Director Tom Werner says that its great news for the airport and the region. Among the reason for the growth are United Airline's addition of a 3rd daily flight to Chicago and Allegiant's twice weekly flights to Las Vegas, Phoenix-Mesa and seasonal service to Orlando-Sanford. The new 77.5 million dollar passenger terminal is due to open in January of 2013.
