MADISON, WI (KDAL) - A Federal judge in Madison says a Duluth man is the "epitome of a white collar career offender" and sentenced him to 7 and a half years for interstate transportation of stolen vehicles.  61 year old Gale Rachuy of Duluth pleaded guilty in November to buying vehicles from private sellers in Wisconsin with checks written on a closed account.  The Assistant U-S Attorney says by the time the checks bounced, Rachuy and the vehicles would be long gone.  In all, seven vehicles worth around 135 thousand dollars were taken in the scams.  The judge doubled the recommended sentence saying it was necessary to protect the public from a financial predator.
