UNDATED (KDAL) - Despite the contested Republican presidential campaign, a small tournout is expected for the Tuesday night Minnesota caucuses.  Former state GOP Chair, Chuck Slocum, says 5 or 6 percent of eligible voters is the most that have ever attended Minnesota state caucuses and that was back in 1972.  Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is the front runner and was in the state briefly last week.  Other candidates Ron Paul and Rick Santorum made appearances over the weekend and Newt Gingrich is expected to be in Minnesota on Monday.  Although the votes for the candidates in the caucus are non-binding, it helps indicate who has the strongest support among the party faithful in the state.
