Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Two point five percent taxes on restaurant bills and hotel stays will be allowed to sunset next year.  The money raised by the taxes was used to payoff bonds for the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center and the Great Lakes Aquarium.  Both of those debts have been satisfied.

City officials estimate that one million dollars a year will stay in the hands of patrons.
