Duluth, MN (KDAL) - After a study said that said if they build it "they will come," Duluth City officials are set to propose a ten million dollar upgrade to the city owned Enger Park Golf Course next year. The money would make repairs to the club house and on all of the course's 27 holes. Parks Director Kathy Bergen says that because of the age of the course repairs are difficult as parts for the irrigation system have to be purchased on Ebay because they are not available from suppliers.
Mayor Don Ness says he supports the golf course upgrade and says that Enger is a self sufficient enterprise and that older bonds on the last upgrade of the facility have been paid off.
