NEW YORK, NY. (KDAL) - Cirrus Design Corporation, headquartered in Duluth, has been cleared of liability in the 2006 plane crash in New York City that killed Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle.  Lidle's wife, Melanie had sued Cirrus claiming that steering issues were the cause of the crash into a Manhattan building.  A federal jury took just 3 hours to find that mechanical problems were not responsible for the crash that killed Lidle and a flight instructor.  Lidle's widow was seeking millions of dollars in the lawsuit.
