MINNEAPOLIS, Min. (KDAL) - Former Minnesota Twins star and baseball Hall Of Fame member, Harmon Killebrew, has decided to end his treatment for esophageal cancer and will enter into hospice care. A message from Killebrew was forwarded to the media from the Twins office. The statement indicates his illness has progressed beyond the doctors' expectations of a cure and that he is comfortable with spending his final days surrounded by family, friends and his wife Nita. Killebrew is 74 years old and was diagnosed with the disease last December.
