ST. PAUL, Min. (MNN) - It's too late this legislative session but a bill, authored by Duluth State Senator Roger Reinert, to allow liquor sales in Minnesota on Sundays has a lot of support according to a new survey. The latest "Star Tribune-Minnesota" Poll shows 62-percent of those polled approve of liquor stores being open on Sundays while 34-percent are against it. Since Minnesota became a state in 1858, liquor stores have stayed closed on Sundays -- one of 13 states that have retained that ban. The bill will probably be introduced at the legislature again next year.
