UNDATED (KDAL) - The race for the GOP presidential nomination underwent some changes over the weekend. A straw poll conducted in Iowa was won by Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty finished a distant 3rd. Pawlenty on Sunday announced that he is dropping out of the race and says money was a major factor in his decision. Meanwhile, Texas Governor Rick Perry has entered the competition for the Republican nomination next year.
