Whirl Win: It's a little bit bigger Little Big Town this week after the No. 1 country debut of their new album Tornado. "I hope it's a record that stays in [fans'] collections for years to come," Karen Fairchild says of their fifth release, which was picked up by more than 112,000 fans in its first week. Phillip Sweet adds, "That would be an amazing compliment to know that [we] were in someone's playlist that defined a summer or a period in their life. I can name records that were my theme [records] when I think about moments in life ... I hope this record can be that for people, too." The 11-track collection is the band's second consecutive chart-topping album and their highest-selling debut.

» Bring It On Home ... And To A Boil:Speaking of LBT, the band's Kimberly Schlapman has landed her own cooking show on GAC. The 13-episode Kimberly's Simply Southern finds her putting a Southern twist on regional dishes from around the country in her home kitchen. "I'm not a professional chef, but when I was a kid, I would stand at the counter and pretend I was a cooking show host," she says. "I never thought it would be a reality!" Band mate Karen Fairchild, daughter Daisy Pearl, Lauren Alaina, Laura Bell Bundy and Holly Williams are among the celebrity guests. The show premieres Saturday (9/22). Watch a preview here.
