WHITNEY HOUSTON: Country Stars React

Country stars were shocked to hear the news of Whitney Houston's death, but perhaps none were more affected than "I Will Always Love You" writer Dolly Parton. On her website, Dolly wrote, "Mine is only one of the millions of hearts broken over the death of Whitney Houston. I will always be grateful and in awe of the wonderful performance she did on my song, and I can truly say from the bottom of my heart, 'Whitney, I will always love you. You will be missed.'"

BARACK OBAMA: Rolling Through the Country Music

President Barack Obama announced his unofficial 2012 campaign Spotify playlist on Twitter Thursday, and country music is well represented. The 28-track list includes Dierks Bentley's "Home," Montgomery Gentry's "My Town," Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me in Mind," Darius Rucker's "Learn to Live" and Sugarland's "Stand Up" and "Everyday America."

Other artists on the list include Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, U2, Ricky Martin and Al Green.
