TIM McGRAW: Napa in November Tim McGraw, the Tug McGraw Foundation and renowned chef Michael Chiarello will take part in a weekend of events in Napa Valley, California, to raise awareness of neurological conditions. The festivities on November 12th and 13th will include a "Songwriters and Storytellers" dinner, groundbreaking of the foundation's new headquarters and a concert featuring Tim and his band, The Dance Hall Doctors.
Kenny Chesney teamed up with roots rocker Grace Potter for "You and Tequila" from his upcoming album, Hemingway's Whiskey. Kenny tells Rolling Stone how he discovered Grace. "I listened to all kinds of music, and there was this girl whose voice I just fell in love with. I didn't really know anything about her -- I just knew I loved her singing and I loved her records." Hemingway's Whiskey comes out on September 28th.
Don Henley has talked about making a country album for years, and he's keeping his promise. He tells Diablo magazine that he's co-producing the album, a collection of originals and country covers, with former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch.
Terri Clark will re-start her solo acoustic tour for 21 dates through the fall. Terri tells SoundSpike.com, "That's how I got my first job, playing at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge solo acoustic. It's important to pay homage to that."
Luke Bryan will kick off his 2010 Farm Tour on September 28th in Valdosta, Georgia, with the NRA joining him as a sponsor. He says, "This is such a natural partnership for me because we are both celebrating and highlighting the qualities of the American farmer and their way of life." |
