TAYLOR SWIFT: Taylor's "Dear John" Song
There's a lot of speculation regarding "Dear John," a song on Taylor Swift's upcoming album, Speak Now. It could be about John Mayer, who Taylor has worked with and whose notorious love 'em and leave 'em reputation has gotten him into hot water in the past.
People.com points to lyrics such as "Don't you think I was too young to be messed with" and "Maybe it's you and your sick need to give love and take it away." When the magazine asked Taylor about the song, she avoided the question.
Carrie Underwood's mother revealed her inner actress in last year's Christmas special, so it was no problem getting Mom to play herself in the video for "Mama's Song." Hubby Mike Fisher was another story. Carrie tells Oklahoma City's Oklahoman, "I was like, 'Either you do it, or I'm going to have to hire an actor to come play my husband, which is gonna be weird.' So, he was for it."
Toby Keith has won numerous awards for his songwriting, but that doesn't prevent him from having writer envy. In People magazine's latest Country Special, he says he wishes he'd written Boz Skaggs' "Look What You've Done to Me." Why? "It's so romantic."
"Look What You've Done to Me" is featured in the movie Urban Cowboy.
