ALAN JACKSON: 34 In Stores

Alan Jackson's newest album, 34 Number Ones, is in stores today. The two-disc collection showcases all of his number-one hits, including his recent duet with Zac Brown Band, "As She's Walking Away," as well as 1990's "Here in the Real World" and his Grammy-winning "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning."

The first single from the album is his new cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," which features Lee Ann Womack on harmony.


MONTGOMERY GENTRY: Cancer Diagnosis

Montgomery Gentry's Eddie Montgomery has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In a statement from his publicist, Eddie says, "I will be undergoing surgery to remove the cancerous tumor in December.  I will be back in January ready to rock for all the fans! Please keep my family and me in your prayers."


KEITH URBAN: Down Under With "O"

Keith Urban was named one of the performers when Oprah Winfrey takes her show to Australia next month. The announcement was made while he was in Chicago taping a segment for her show. Also rumored to be appearing are wife Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman and Naomi Watts.


GARTH BROOKS: A Visit with Jay

Garth Brooks paid a visit to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday night. Among the topics Garth discussed with Jay were his three daughters, their Thanksgiving dishes -- which include veggie stuffing and deviled eggs -- and how all the family's cooking duties are handled by his cookbook-writing wife Trisha Yearwood.


KENNY CHESNEY: Boston Sell-Out

Kenny Chensey's August 27th show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, sold out in eight minutes. Kenny says, "I can't wait to feel the energy of Foxboro again!! I missed it this year; I really did! The love affair I share with the fans in New England is like no other and that has been built over the years! I can't wait to see their faces and spend an evening with them next summer! It's gonna feel like coming home." This will be the sixth time Kenny has played the stadium, which is outside of Boston.
