TAYLOR SWIFT: The Sweet Smell of Success

Everything's coming up roses for Taylor Swift, who's just signed a deal to market her own line of fragrances. Taylor is joining forces with Elizabeth Arden, which will sell perfumes and other products bearing her name. She says, "I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts." Taylor's scent will hit stores next fall.

TAYLOR SWIFT: Once Bitten, Twice Surprised

When Taylor Swift visited Ellen Degeneres last year, the show host startled her so badly that T collapsed to the floor in giggles. This year Taylor seemed prepared when a giant dinosaur snuck up on her. However, an unsuspecting fan was a little more startled when Taylor surprised her with an autographed guitar and tickets to next week's CMA Awards.

You can see both surprises, Taylor's performances and hear her comments about John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhal at Ellen.WarnerBros.com.

TRACE ADKINS: Go USO

Just a week before the CMA Awards, Musical Event of the Year nominee Trace Adkins is in the Middle East on his third USO tour. Since Monday, Trace has visited more than six thousand troops. He says, "Whether I'm walking around a post shaking hands and signing autographs, or performing for troops, I am always aware I am in the presence of heroes."

Trace will wrap up the tour with a welcome-home performance for soldiers and their families in Fort Benning, Georgia.

JEWEL: Going Platinum

We have additional details on the new Bravo TV series, Going Platinum, hosted by Jewel and American Idol's Kara DioGuardi. The show, which follows the paths of 12 songwriters in a reality show competition, is set to premiere next year with 10 episodes in production. A celebrity guest will appear weekly to help judge the songwriting competition.

Jewel says, "This series will showcase the passion, talent and determination it requires to become a hit songwriter, and in the end we will find the next big music star."
