The Kenny Chesney-inspired clothing line, Blue Chair Bay, has been selling out in various locations throughout the country. That includes Fast Buck Freddy's in Key West, both of the Mix and Ditsy Daisies in New Orleans, Ocean Eddies in Orange Beach, Alabama and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Chesney shares, "I figure if people are looking to kick back, these are great clothes to do it in. They're like something you've had for 10 years, but they're brand new - and if you wanted to grab a bag for the weekend, you'd have everything you need." He adds, "But we didn't start this to be some huge available everywhere deal. I cared about the quality, the fit, the feel - and I wanted it to be something you can wear in 10 years as easy as you could today. It's not really the recipe for the hottest clothes of the moment, so I always find myself going, 'Really?' when they tell me a lot of the stores - many stores I shop in - are on their third re-order. And what's really funny is that I didn't want people to see themselves coming and going... so we've made a limited number of pieces, so once they're gone, they're gone."
People seem to really be responding to not only the quality material, but also the vintage looks and European fit of Blue Chair Bay. Kenny shares, "To me, being comfortable in what you wear is everything. I knew I wanted clothes that feel like something you've loved forever the second you put them on... and I wanted them to feel classic, but kicked back... like what I'd wear, because I'm a pretty basic guy." The clothing line is currently available in 258 specialty retailers across the U.S.
