NEW IN STORES Little Big Town's newest album, The Reason Why, is in stores today and fans will hear each member of the band clearly taking the lead vocal on at least one song. Kimberly Schlapman explains that was always the band's goal, but with this album, "We pared it down more instrumentally than we have before so the vocals kind of stand out." The Reason Why includes their hit single, "Little White Church."
It's a good thing Blake Shelton isn't the one planning his upcoming wedding to Miranda Lambert. He tells The 9513 that, if it were up to him, they'd be married by now -- "It would be a quick Elvis rock and roll ceremony in Las Vegas with tattooed wedding rings." He knows what she'd like for the reception dinner though -- "... she loves chicken fried deer steak and catfish."
Jason Aldean teams up with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson for a duet, "Don't You Wanna Stay" for his upcoming album, My Kinda Party. Jason says of the album's title, "It's totally representative of what I like and what my fans have come to expect on my records and at the 'party' we throw at our shows. I think the key is knowing who you are as an artist and taking it to an extreme without ripping anybody else off...it's all about knowing what it is that sets you apart." My Kinda Party is set for release on November 2nd.
Brad Paisley played his first stadium show last weekend at Gillette Stadium in Boston in front of a sold-out crowd. Brad says he's shocked at how far he's come. "I'm so far past where I planned to be that I'm here without a road map of any kind. I didn't necessarily ask for directions on the way."
