TIM McGRAW: Artist of the Decade Tim McGraw has been named Most Played Artist of the Decade in any genre by music monitoring service Nielsen BDS. From January 1st, 2000 to December 31, 2009, Tim's music was played on the radio nearly eight million times. Source: MusicRow.com
Farm Aid will celebrate its 25th anniversary with its first-ever show in Wisconsin, on October 2nd at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Headlining will be Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews. Mellencamp says they chose Milwaukee because "Midwest farmers share the same struggle as family farmers across the country. They are survivors, and they're on the land creating solutions for America's most pressing issues." Additional artists will be added to the bill. Tickets for Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America will go on sale on August 14th at the Milwaukee Brewers box office, by phone at (414) 902-4000 and at Tickets.com. Ticket prices range from $39.50 to $97.50.
Carrie Underwood keeps up with her healthy, vegetarian lifestyle on the road by popping into the supermarket and buying her own food. She tells WebMD magazine, "It's a very human thing to do, and that's why I love it so much. When you're out on the road, people see you as a performer -- not necessarily as a human being, first and foremost. So it's really nice to go and do things that ... people do!"
A torrential downpour gave a whole new meaning to Brad Paisley's H2O Tour. Brad, who was playing a private show in his home state of West Virginia, continued performing even though the skies opened up and drenched him. Brad wrote on Twitter, "That was a blast. It was like doing the video again. And no guitars were ruined this time." Brad's clip for the song "Water" had Brad and his band actually playing the song in a pool.
