This from a 1984 "Today"show segment about crazy tabloid stories. It features a woman claiming her toaster is POSSESSED...and was writing the phrase "Satan Lives" on her bread.  It's slightly obvious that SHE is the one writing it, because the letters are actually CARVED IN.

The best part is the end though, where she says why she won't get rid of it...
