(SENDHWA, INDIA) A verbally abusive husband took extreme measures after his wife left him. Reports indicate that 32-year-old Bunty Verma cut out his tongue. Once his wife walked out on him, he became ashamed of all the terrible things he’d said to her. Without a tongue, he can’t repeat those mistakes.

Bunty wrote his wife explaining his actions: He urged his wife to forgive him and in a show of repentance he would remove his tongue so she’d never be abused again.  Ouch.
