We're not trying to make light of the damage caused by Hurricane Irene, but there's a video on YouTube that sums up the hysterical nature of a lot of the reporting.
It's a local correspondent in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and when a wave washes up over the boardwalk behind her, she starts jogging off and says to her crew, quote, "Let's get out of here . . . grab the mic!"  Then she drops her mic in the water.
But her cameraman just stands there laughing, and lets the wave recede.
