101-YEAR-OLD MAN FINALLY RETIRING FROM RUNNING MARATHONS
Fauja Singh, who will turn 102 in a few months, is finally retiring from running marathons.
Singh, who is reportedly too old to prove his own age, started running when he turned 89 and claims he does not suffer from any age-related illnesses, nor does he take any medicines to keep him fit enough to run 26.2 miles.
Nicknamed the “Turbaned Tornado,” Singh is going to run one more marathon in Hong Kong on February 24th – and then no more races.
But don’t think he’s going to spend his time playing Scrabble at the local senior center. Instead, he says he’s going to run an average of four hours a day until he is dead. (NBC Sports)
