Taylor Swift's Red is big. In fact, it's huge. The album sold 1.2 million copies last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's the biggest single sales week in a decade, since The Eminem Show sold 1.2 million during its first week of release back in 2002.
Red also easily tops the Billboard 200 chart to become Taylor's third-consecutive Number-One debut.
The monster sales were spurred by Taylor's heavy promotional push that included appearances on Good Morning America, The Late Show With David Letterman, The View, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Katie and 20/20. Red was also available in such non-traditional locations as Starbucks, Walgreens and Papa John's.
