Do you and your guy have differing opinions on what constitutes a clean living space? Like ... he thinks leaving dishes in the sink for three days is perfectly acceptable and you can't function if you haven't made your bed in the morning.
According to a recent study, having differing thresholds of cleanliness can really mess with your relationship. Researchers found that people who have a lower tolerance for dirt than their significant other spend so much more time cleaning that they become resentful and less satisfied with the relationship. Uh oh...That means potential trouble for me as I consider cleaning a burden of a chore. The longest I have left dishes in the sink might be one full day - that's not to bad is it?I feel good when I get the house clean, the dishes done, the floor swept and mopped and the laundry put a way but I fall behind on it every week! LOL I dust and wash the windows maybe once every couple of months. Tee Hee. I sure hope my future husband doesn't mind if he lives in a house that, um, is not spotless to say the least. What about you? Does your relationship suffer because of one of your cleaning habits? ~ Jessie B
