My 4 year old son asked me to make snow globes with him and I thought how on earth will I do that?!  Welllll, thank-you Taylor and Country Weekly for unknowingly helping this mom out!  LOL  Read on for how Taylor makes home made snow globes.  What a wonderful Christmas gift idea!

Taylor Swift just wrapped up her Speak Now 2011 World Tour and apparently spent her downtime during Thanksgiving getting crafty with a group of friends, making homemade snow globes out of jars and Christmas figurines. Taylor and her friends created more than a half-dozen homemade snow globes with Santas, angels and Christmas tree figurines. “Christmas in a jar, with glitter” the singer shared on Twitter.

The craft is pretty simple to replicate. Get a clean jar with a watertight lid. With clear drying epoxy, glue a waterproof figurine onto the inside of the jar’s lid. While the epoxy dries, pour a small amount of glitter into the jar, then fill the jar nearly to the top with distilled water. As an option, a small amount of glycerin can be added to the distilled water/glitter mix to make the glitter fall more slowly. Screw the lid onto the jar, with the figurine facing down. Turn the jar so the figure is standing up. The jar can be further decorated by adding ribbon. Shake the jar and watch the glitter fall—voilà, a homemade snow globe.
