The editor-in-chief at Shape magazine, Valerie Latona, apologized to readers when some of them complained about having a LeeAnn Rimes on  the cover again after she confessed to adultry.  Some readers (a small percentage) felt Shape was glorifying LeeAnns affair. Then Latona backtracked her words...here's more of the story as reporte by USA Today...

"My comments have been taken out of context. I used the words of the few unhappy readers who wrote in." Latona continued with, "I stand by the fact that LeAnn's story is compelling - and her courage and strength in the face of so much adversity is compelling.  That is why I put her on the cover of Shape for what is now the third time. " She added, "The fact is a mere 40 readers out of almost six million readers wrote in to complain calling LeAnn a 'husband stealer' and a 'terrible mistake for Shape.' I wrote to those women apologizing that our cover choice did not make them happy - as I have done for other cover stars in the past."  

LeAnn appears to be a bit surprised about the Shape editor's original statement since the magazine is throwing her a party this week to celebrate her third Shape cover. On Friday, Rimes took to Twitter to share, "Just so all my fans know, I'm getting to the bottom of this.  Shape is throwing me a party next week as a thank you and congrats for being on their cover for the 3rd time. I find this very contradictory. I love you all."

Hmmmm, I see Latona as just trying to please both her unhappy readers and her "cover girl" Nothing wrong with that...but you can't please everyone!
