Movie Trailer Friday

by Matt Z

Once again this weekend, I have more interest in the limited release films compared to the four wide release ones.  I'm very intrigued by Steve Jobs the man but I am not at all intrigued by Ashton Kutcher's portrayal of him.  He's a good looking man but as an actor, I think he's pretty weak.  I'm not surprised at all that critics are not on board with Jobs :

I loved Kick-Ass and have been anxiously awaiting Kick-Ass 2 !  Nic Cage is not one of my favorite actors but in the original, he was fantastic as Big Daddy.  I also think Chloe Grace Moretz was awesome as Hit Girl and I'm looking forward to more of her character in KA2.  I think she is near the top of the list of best young actors in Hollywood.  Jim Carrey (Colonel Stars and Stripes) dissed the movie for its use of over the top gun violence and I would have loved to ask him, "ummmm, didn't you see the first one?!"

Lee Daniel's The Butler is up next.  Big names, decent reviews and early Oscar buzz.  Yeah, I'll go see it.

Paranoia is a movie that I have absolutely no interest in seeing and I won't, at least not in the theater.  I'm guessing I won't be the only one skipping it.

Here's a look at some of the limited release movies opening this weekend.  I'm very much looking forward to checking out Ain't Them Bodies Saints, Cutie and The Boxer and You Will Be My Son.
