    TAYLOR SWIFT: Her Video Co-star

    Taylor Swift found Toby Hemingway -- the man who plays her groom in the video for her upcoming single "Ride" -- in the movie Feast of Love. She tells People.com, "Toby was so great that I thought it would be perfect to put him in the video."

    Taylor knew she'd made the right choice when she watched another movie of his, The Covenant, and he was wearing a sweatshirt with her lucky number 13 on it.


    BLAKE SHELTON, MIRANDA LAMBERT: Light the Night

    Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have announced that they will once again sponsor teams for the 2010 Light the Night Walk benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Blake has teams in Tennessee, Ohio, New York, Washington and Idaho, and Ran has one team focused on Nashville.

    Walks will take place this fall around the country. To join a team or to donate, go to LightTheNight.org.


    WYNONNA: Head-On Car Accident

    Wynonna Judd, her daughter Grace and her tour manager were hospitalized after being involved in a head-on car crash last Wednesday in Salt Lake City, Utah. Though no details of the injuries have been released, Wy did tell the Tahoe Daily Tribune, "One day you're on top of the world and the next day you're in the emergency room with a CAT scan and you think, 'Gosh, life is pretty precious and it's pretty fragile sometimes, and it's a miracle that I survived this crash."

    The three left the hospital around midnight and returned to the bus for a show Thursday in Oregon.


    COURTYARD HOUNDS: Making Music With Steve

    The Court Yard Hounds -- Emily Robison and her sister Martie Maguire from the Dixie Chicks -- sing back-up on a track for Steve Martin's upcoming bluegrass album. Martie tells Billboard.com, "It was right up our alley, because we are looking for projects that are fun and exciting and different, and that's just something that's perfect."


    DOLLY PARTON: My Life in a Song

    Now that she's off the road for the rest of the year, Dolly Parton is putting together her life story -- but after working on the Broadway production of 9 to 5: The Musical, she thinks she might like to see it on stage instead of the big screen. Dolly recently told us, "It would be a good way to tell my story without telling it all and yet telling it all."

    TOP OF THE CHARTS: In The Hands Of The Jury

    Congratulations to Jerrod Niemann, whose major label debut, Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury, snatches the number-one seat from the long-reigning Lady Antebellum and their sophomore album, Need You Now. Jerrod's debut causes a domino reaction on the country album chart shifting Lady A to number two and Zac Brown Band's The Foundation to number three. Also sliding one spot are Miranda Lambert's Revolution, which goes to four, and Carrie Underwood's Play On which goes to five.


    WILLIE NELSON: Lends A Hand To Lindsay

    Willie Nelson has offered Lindsay Lohan work on his upcoming movie, The Dry Gulch Kid, when she gets out of the slammer. According to HollywoodLife.com, an insider says that Willie has called Lindsay every day.


    TOBY KEITH: Raw Talent

    Toby Keith will be the guest host of the WWE's Raw on October 25th. He'll be promoting his album Bullets in the Gun, which will hit stores on October 5th. According to BleacherReport.com, this won't be the first time Toby has appeared on Raw. In 2002, he got into the ring with wrestler Jeff Jarrett -- and suplexed him to win the match.


    JENNIFER NETTLES: Scaled Back

    Jennifer Nettles shares her secrets for staying fit in Self magazine.She does yoga and interval training in which she alternates running and walking. Surprisingly, she doesn't weigh herself often. She says, "I'm not a freak about it anyway, but it helps me stay in a healthy zone because I don't always trust my eyes in the mirror. I try to think, 'How do I feel about how I look?'"

    TIM McGRAW: Backs Up Jerry Lee

     Tim McGraw will make a guest appearance on Jerry Lee Lewis' upcoming album, Mean Old Man, due out on September 7th. Tim will join Jerry Lee on "Middle Aged Crazy"-a song he originally released in 1977. Also on the album are, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Sheryl Crow, John Fogerty, Merle Haggard, , Willie Nelson, Keith Richards, Robbie Robertson, Slash, Mavis Staples, John Mayer, Solomon Burke, Kid Rock, Ringo Starr, Nils Lofgren, Kris Kristofferson and Shelby Lynne.

     

    JAMES OTTO: Warning to Potential Boyfriends

     James Otto is just a few weeks away from becoming a daddy. He and his wife Amy are expecting a daughter at the end of August. James admits he was hoping to have a boy, so he didn't have to worry about his little girl dating someday. He writes on Twitter, "A warning to all boys that will date my daughter. Whatever you do to her when y'all go out I'll do to you when you get home."

     

    DARIUS RUCKER: Aim High

     Darius Rucker isn't afraid to shoot for the stars when he reveals who he'd like to record duets with. It's Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood. He admits that matching up to Carrie's vocal prowess is daunting, but he's willing to give it a whirl!

    REBA McENTIRE: Turn It Up!

    With the release of her newest single, "Turn On the Radio," Reba McEntire is celebrating 30 consecutive years on the radio and still gets excited when she hears herself. She says, "It's a form of acceptance for me. Someone still wants to hear me sing ... I realize they could have just as easily put on someone else's song to play."


    KEITH URBAN: Working With The Wiggles

    Keith Urban is recording a version of Roger Miller's "England Swings" with Australian kiddie supergroup The Wiggles. Keith tells the Los Angeles Daily News, "Having a 2-year-old, I'm not going to turn down The Wiggles." Keith says little Sunday Rose loves music and does a killer version of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." He says, "She sings that song all day."



    STEEL MAGNOLIA: Words to Live By

    Steel Magnolia's Joshua Scott Jones offers up some great advice to aspiring artists. He says, "I don't think you always have to know how you're going to do something, you just have to have the determination to do it." The duo's belief in that philosophy has scored them their first Top 5 hit with "Keep On Lovin' You" and another appears to be on the way with "Just By Being You." Their self-titled debut album will be in stores September 21st.


    CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Sweet As Pie

    The popularity of buttermilk pie has risen since the pastry has been rumored to be one of the goodies served at Carrie Underwood's July 10th wedding to Mike Fisher.

    Chris Bragg, owner of the Yesterday Cafe in Greensboro, Georgia, will neither confirm not deny that he baked pies for the event, but according to Canada's National Post, he has been filling requests for the dessert from "all over North America."

    I got a chance to see Skynyrd at Moondance Jam Saturday night.   This was the 2nd time I've seen them and they were awesome!   There is nothing better then "Freebird" live, outside with about 10,000 of your closest friends!   Even though Gary Rossington is the only original member still with the band (Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and Cassie Gaines were killed in a plane crash in 1977), Ronnie's younger brother Johnnie Van Zant does an excellent job on lead vocals.    Here is a video of "Freebird" with Ronnie Van Zant from 1975.   Enjoy!

    TAYLOR SWIFT: May Collaborate With Owl

     Taylor Swift may be joining up with pop star OwlCity -- otherwise known as Adam Young -- for a song on his sophomore album. Adam tells HitFix.com, "I have talked to her. She's so busy, but she said if there's time, she said it'd be lot of fun." The two Twitter friends have been corresponding for some time now. Adam is a big fan of Taylor's song "Love Story," calling it the best love song he's known.

    JOHN DALY: A Little Country With His Swing

     While golfer John Daly is up to his putter at the British Open in St. Andrews, Scotland, he's releasing a country album in the U.S. I Only Know One Way features the title track with Darius Rucker, who co-wrote the song with John. The album also includes a cover of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door."

     CRAIG MORGAN: That's Why

    Craig Morgan is releasing a new CD exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores on July 26th. That's Why is a collection of 13 songs, including two previously unreleased tunes -- "You," which is about his wife and "Evel Knievel," is named for the famous stunt motorcyclist, but Morgan says it's about himself. And what does Craig order at the Crack? Chicken and Dumplings with extra dumplings.

    CARRIE UNDERWOOD: More Wedding Details

    More details on Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher's wedding are in People magazine, which is on newsstands today:

    • Carrie surprised Mike by bringing contemporary Christian singer Brandon Heath to perform "Love Never Fails" for their first dance at their wedding.
    • The ceremony took place beneath an arbor of birch trees and roses.
    • When the groom kissed the bride at the end of the ceremony, Carrie's dog Ace barked like mad.
    • The color scheme for the wedding was pink.
    • Painted hockey pucks held the guests' table assignments.
    • The wedding cake was a cupcake tower.
    • The guests dined on a four-course meal.
    • For music, Carrie and Mike had a DJ who played everything from Lionel Richie to Guns n' Roses.
    • Carrie will be Carrie Fisher in her personal life, but will still use Underwood professionally -- perhaps to avoid confusion with "Princess Leia."


    SARA EVANS: Ex Wants More Time With the Kids

    Sara Evans' ex-husband Craig Schelske has filed papers in a Tennessee court to re-structure his custody agreement, saying that he wants his kids with him six months at a time. According to TMZ, Schelske claims that Sara's husband, Jay Barker, has been sending him harassing text messages claiming that Satan is controlling his thoughts and actions. Schkelske also says that Sara and Jay trash him in front of the children.

     QUICK SHOTS:

    • David Nail, wearing a St. Louis Cardinals cap, hit a homerun for the Nationals at last weekend's MLB All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. You can see it at MLB.com. Others participating included MLB legends Bo Jackson, Ozzie Smith and Steve Garvey, actors James Denton and Michael Clark Duncan, and hip-hopper M.C. Hammer. The American team beat the Nationals 15 to 11.
    • American Idol auditions are taking place in Nashville on Saturday. According to USA Today, more than 10,000 people came out on Thursday to register for the tryouts.
    • Hank Williams Junior has extended his highly successful Rowdy Friends Tour into the fall. An assortment of guests, including Jamey Johnson, Eric Church, Gretchen Wilson, Lee Brice, Colt Ford, Josh Thompson, Sunny Sweeney and The Grascals will join Hank at various shows throughout the run, which kicks off September 17th in Evansville, Indiana.

    TOP OF THE CHARTS: Lady A Leads the Way

    Lady Antebellum's Need You Now remains the nation's number-one country album, selling 28,000 copies last week, according to the latest SoundScan figures. Zac Brown Band's The Foundation is at number two on sales of 22,000. Miranda Lambert is at number three with Revolution ringing up another 15,000 copies this week. Carrie Underwood's Play On is at number four and Jaron and the Long Road to Love's Getting Dressed in the Dark rounds out the Top 5.


    TAYLOR SWIFT: Up for Bowling Honor

    Taylor Swift is up for another honor -- she's on the celebrity ballot for the Bowling Hall of Fame. In recent months, Taylor has been spotted at the lanes, most notably in Los Angeles with her pal, Glee's Cory Monteith. Also on the ballot are Justin Beiber, Bill Murray, Jimmy Fallon and Kim Kardashian.

    JEWEL: Will the Real Jewel Please Stand Up

    Jewel went undercover for a FunnyOrDie.com video in which she was made up as a frumpy businesswoman who's called up to the stage of a karaoke bar to sing her own songs. The crowd was blown away as the disguised Jewel belted out "Who Will You Save Your Soul" and "Foolish Games." Later, when the "real" Jewel came out, some patrons didn't even realize they'd been duped. One guy even said the fake Jewel sang better than the real thing.


    CARRIE UNDERWOOD: More Wedding Details

    A radiant Carrie Underwood in her Chantilly lace wedding dress is featured on the cover of this week's People magazine. Carrie later changed into a short, strapless cocktail number. She says, "The wedding dress was huge. I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change."

    The other man in her life, her rat terrier Ace, wore a Swarovski crystal-encrusted pink tux for his walk down the aisle.

    The issue, with more details on Carrie and Mike's wedding, will be on newsstands Friday.


    KEITH URBAN: Blessed With Balance

    Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have made juggling two very busy careers look easy. So how do the musician and the movie star do it? Keith says it's all about balance and finding a common ground. "I just feel real blessed to have found somebody that has the same way of looking at life."
